Some Pretty Great Albums
These are some of my fave albums of all time. Some are well-known, while others are hardly known at all! If you have some time, these are definitely worth a listen.
Movie star
Laundry

Laundry is one of my top favorite bands of all time. They have so many bangers, it was hard to choose which album I like the most. Ultimately, Movie Star came out on top. This album is just fun from start to end. Based out of Eugene, OR, this college band serves up a unique blend of dreamy, alternative, and indie-punk sounds.
Little cowboy
Little Cowboy

This St. Louis MO local band quickly became one of my favorites after hearing them the first time as openers for a different artist. I was able to see them perform live a number of times while living in Alton, IL. They’re one of my favorite bands to put people on, as they blend indie rock, surf rock, blues, and jazz elements into music anybody will love.
Humanz
Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a popular band, especially in the alternative music scene, with some of their most popular songs being Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood, and DARE. However, I feel Humanz is often over-looked or even unknown. The album came out in 2017, after a multy-year hiatus, and during a politically rocky time. The album reflects the unrest and agitation of American and global politics that I feel are still relevant to this day. The Humanz album is incredibly well-rounded and well crafted, every single song is an absolute banger.
discovery
Daft Punk

Daft Punk needs no introduction. Primarily classified as French house, electronic, synth-pop, while also heavily featuring elements of disco, funk, and indie-pop, this album is a classic that everyone has heard at least one song from. If only I wasn’t 7 years old during their 2006 Alive Tour. I cry about it to this day. Something I love about Discovery is in 2003, an anime musical science fiction film, Interstella 5555, was made specifically to be a visual representation for the album. The music videos feature this anime, which tells the story of the abduction and rescue of an extraterrestrial pop band.
