We met some friends in Duluth for a surprise Birthday party and concert. This was my first time visiting Duluth, and it was such a good time. The Birthday person in question was indeed surprised to have all of their close friends going to see one of their favorite artist live. We spent the night jamming out, and then headed back to the Air bnb to keep the party going.
September 28, 2025
The next day, Austin and I explored the town together. We started the morning getting breakfast with the group, then we all said our good-byes and went our separate ways.
Our first stop; the Great Lakes Aquarium. Let me just say, this aquarium is amazing. I’ve always loved and had a fascination with ocean life, especially deep sea critters, so I was incredibly excited to find out they had an exhibit with some of my favorite deep sea animals! That was definitely the highlight for me, however all of it was really cool and fun. They had quite a few critters besides fish as well, like local animals that were too injured or otherwise unable to be released.
After the aquarium, we had a little picnic in our van, then drove downtown to rollerskate by the lake. Lake Superior was beautiful that day. We skated down the Duluth Lakewalk for about a mile and then looped back to the start. It was super fun to be a part of the public activity happening that day. The town was so active, it was invigorating to be out and about that day.
